The Delanco Emergency Squad was first established in 1939 by members of the Washington Fire Company, who operated only one ambulance. At the time, members were not required to have any first aid training and most of the patients were transported to Zurburgg Hospital in Riverside.

Currently, the Delanco Emergency Squad is a 100% volunteer organization and we plan to remain all volunteer operated. We do not charge our patients a single penny and operate off of donations.

A File of Life Card is a large card that contains all of a patient's personal, medical and emergency contact information.

No matter how young or old you are, having a File of Life Card on your refrigerator is a big help.

By having this information already filled out, it makes the jobs of EMT's and Paramedics easier, so they can spend less time "digging" for this information and more time treating the patient.
